Wedding Band Cardiff - September 2016

A month of Saturday's!

September is historically quieter than June, July and August for us. However, we were flat out with weddings this year. 4 Saturday's in a row spanning the length and breadth of South Wales. We started way out West.....

Rhosygilwen is an incredible wedding venue. http://rhosygilwen.co.uk/west-wales-music-venue/

The place is totally geared for live music. They host a string of live music events throughout the year. The sound was great and the staff and guests even better. Made the late night drive back from Pembrokeshire most worth it!

We returned to an old favourite the week after - another great music venue - the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in the centre of Cardiff. The first time we've seen large light letter written yn Gymraeg! A giant CARIAD towered over the dance floor.

A week later we visited the actor capital of South Wales - Port Talbot. Playing in the Michael Sheen suite for a wedding reception. A great atmosphere and a packed dance floor all night. While the guests ate, the band enjoyed a stroll along Aberavon sea front and a Fish and Chip supper. Taking in the last of the summer sun.

A trip to Brecon followed. Adam Vie - our drummer took a family holiday. So we welcomed country legend Chris Raggatt back to the band on drums. This was his first gig with us on drums, but his incredible adaptive musical talent shone through on the night. Was a pleasure playing with Chris again. We played to a very merry crowd in a stunning marquee on the estate. Including an hour acoustic set before the full band took to the stage.

The wedding season is definitely getting longer for us - stretching well into October this year.

Thanks again for reading.......here's to October!

John
